They say you're special if a guardian comes to you. Gifted; perhaps, even, destined to be something great.
Students attending Revelin's School of Guardians all share the common knowledge that they have been 'chosen'- selected by the fates and presented, differently, with an egg upon reaching the age of fifteen. Each egg contains within it a brilliant, powerful creature that has selected its companion for life; whether it be a crafty phoenix, a loyal dragon, a brave gryffin, or a spirited pegasus, each guardian brings with its hatching the burden to protect the common folk from the demons that have arisen from man's sin.
For the students of Revelin's school, destiny has thrust responsibility onto their shoulders. There is no backing out; there is no breaking down. The guardians have seen something special in them, and with this blessing, their fate is condemned.
